Know The Creative: TV Shows!

11/10/2026

Hiya!

So happy to welcome you to the first installment in the series Know The Creative. Such a nice feeling to share my all time favourites! This time, it's going to be the most influental TV shows since my birth upto now! I picked these based on what I liked as a kid, what I like as an adult and what was either memorable or super fun!

I won't be talikng your ear off about all of them though, don't worry! I'm only picking four out of the twelve pictures. I feel like that's enough, because some of them need the time and space here because of how much I love them. Some out of nostalgia and iconic material, some because they hit close to home.

Well, let's get started! (Spoilers ahead!)

First TV show ever: Teletubbies, the icons they are!

Oh dear, my first exposure to television! The only thing that would get me to shut up as a toddler! Although I don't have many memories of what the show was like, because I was like…two years old? Still, I know who my favorite was! Tinky Winky of course! I even had a plush Tinky Winky! And that time he had a tutu skirt on? You better believe I wanted a pink tutu so bad after that! Him carrying a handbag? I had to have one during the watchtime, even if I just borrowed my mom's. He was way too awesome for me to not like! And even if they were just a bunch of strange creatures, I loved them so much!

This leads me to mention my own personal projects, which are just another upcycled bunch of knitwear. I made myself a Teletubbies and Tiddlytubbies clothing! What are Tiddlytubbies you ask? Well, they're a Teletubbies spin-off. Never saw the thing, but I needed my colors to match the characters. And since I had six of them, and there are only four Teletubbies, I had to improvise. So, three Teletubbies and three Tiddlytubbies. Even though I had to leave out my beloved Po out of the bunch. Very sad occasion.

Mimi cardigan in light blue.

Laa-laa sweater in mustard yellow.

Dipsy vest in fluorescent green.

Ping cardigan in no other than pink!

Ruru sweater in deep orange.

Tinky Winky, my dearest, on a lilac vest!

Staying up until 22:00 as a three year old for the show that shaped my life: Shaman King!

So…that's a title that screams childhood obsession, right? Well, don't let yourself be fooled, it's still an obsession of mine! This is the most influental and amazing thing I ever layed my eyes upon TV show wise. Also anime wise, because I'm not really an avid watcher. But why the obsession at three years old? Ins't that kind of too soon? Well, yeah. I remember being shunned by my friends at kindergarten, who were mostly girls, because god forbid a girl talks about an amazing shaman fighting anime! Boys loved it though! My friend's younger brother always loved how I talked about the episodes with him! And you know what, good for me! At least I had someone that would listen to the awesome shaman battles rambling!

So…Shaman King, huh? Saw the original, read some of the manga, saw the remake. All of it is great, but nothing beats the nostalgia of the first anime. Altough I'm still unsettled by the way Yoh looked when possesed by Ryu's spirit Tokageroh! That always makes me shiver. Such a good portrayal. However, as much as I loved Yoh as a child, and he was my first childhood crush, I completely changed gears later in life. What used to be Yoh-centered is now all about Ren Tao. And no, not in a crush way. In a human way.

Ren Tao is a character I mentioned on this website already. And I relate to his story so much. To his anger. To his tough exterior, and even more to the vulnerability inside. I't so interesting watching him grow from soft to ruthless to a person who acompasses both. It is written just like life is. We start out soft, warm and naive. Some of us turn cruel due to how life shapes us. And then, we become both, and learn when to use each side.

Shaman king has so many life lessons I had to learn later. I thought world isn't like that as a kid, and while no, we don't have cool shaman battles, it is very much similar. The heaviness, the hapinness and the nice and the ugly. I truly believe it's worth a watch. Even if just once. For me, zillion times.

The best songs in any Disney TV show: Phineas and Ferb won't get their music out of your head!

The best songs ever I would argue! As a kid from Czech Republic, I watched this show in Czech. And you better believe I still know the lyrics! Although that might be more of a rennaisance honestly. I started listening to the music again when I saw this show on TV again approximately two years ago, and the nostalgia just got me! The soundtrack is just so catchy! And although I listened to the english version, it wasn't the same! Still really cool, but not exactly what I remember. Sometimes it matters what you grow up with! Honestly, you would catch me singing Ain't Got Rhythm with my mom outside! And I do not sing outside like…ever?

When it comes to favourites it would be Ferb I guess. He rarely talks, but it's so fun when he does! Oh and talking about non-verbal characters, Perry is an absolute must! I love him so much! Such a cool and capable platypus!

The coolest bears in town: We Bare Bears!

So, this is definitely me watching cartoons past the time they should be interesting to me. And you know what? I love it! We Bare Bears is just such a gem! I adore it! Why? Well, it's mostly because of Ice Bear and his cool personality, but honestly? It's just such a blast. And even if I'm team Ice Bear all the way, I guess I would be more like Panda. For obvious reasons. Aside from not being a social media junkie, we have so much in common! And Grizz? A sweetheart inside and outside truly! Who doesn't love him?!

I enjoyed the episodes with Chloe the most! And no, not because I'm a prodigy at something. I guess the closest to I am to being a prodigy is being a prodigy in anxiety and stuff. Does that count?! Probably not. But I also often felt left out of my peers conversations or felt I wasn't really taken seriously, so I guess you can draw conclusion from that. Honestly, it was also such a refreshing take when Chloe eventually finds friends besides the bears. But the bears and Chloe? Man, chef's kiss!

Aaaand…that's it? Wait no, I forgot something! All the love to princess Syllabob! Iykyk! Such a great princess character!

And aside from that, now I am finished! I could talk your ear off about the rest of the shows, but I gotta keep some mystery right? Okay, joking aside, I think it's probably too long as it is. But thank you everyone who even just skimmed the text! And those who payed special attention have my special thanks! Whatever that means!

Thank you so much for taking a trip down the memory lane with me! Maybe you found inspo or watched and liked the same things? Whichever it is, I hope it somehow was a nice thing to read and not just a boring piece of info. I tried to write it to the best of my ability. So…here goes nothing?

I am still working on the e-shop and stuff. I know I am as slow as a sloth but bear with me! I'm just trying to perfect this! Or at least make it as good as I can! There's so much behind the scenes prepping that it's hard to give you a decent time window on when I'll be done. But I want to make the e-shop happen before Christmas. And no, not because of the money. If I was all about that, I guess the shop would be running a long time ago. I just want you to be able to get yourself somehting nice for the season. Christmas can be a joyous occasion, but it often gets lonely and sad when you're not as lucky in the socializing department. And I hear you. So, I want to be here for you, even if just in the form of a product with, hopefully, good energy.

I am looking forward to another blog. I hope you do as well.
Have a nice starlit day everyone.
