Questions and Answers

Aside from the obvious connection between stars (stella = star) and moon, my pseudonym was inspired by japanese folkore tale about Orihime and Hikoboshi, which are subsequently names of two stars in Japan, Vega and Altair. To not name myself after two stars somehow, I added the moon in the surname. That can be explained by my interest in the yin-yang symbol ever since I was a kid and was watching my favourite anime, Shaman King. My favourite character, Tao Ren had a tatoo of yin and yang, and it represented his family as well. Since the Ren character over the years of reading the manga and watching the remake gave me some insight on my own family and internal issues, I decided to let that appear in my name, as yin symbolizes the moon and yang the sun, the brightest star.

I always believed that people can have big imagination when given the righ push. This is the push initiated by me. A storybook is simple but often impactful vessel for a story. This book has even more simplified outline of a certain story I want to tell, but there is space for you to put your own spin on it. Every story is going to be different and the beauty of it will be in the eye of the beholder. And that's exactly what I want to achieve. A perfect book for everyone.

Oh boy, definitely not! This book is for everyone, from kids to teenagers, to adults all the way to the elderly. While I admit older generation might not feel as represented due to the younger age of the characters, they might come back to their younger days this way, or create characters more to their liking and closer to their age. I know grown-ups also often have more artistic experience than for exmaple small children, and can draw themselves or their characters into the story easier. They can do that for their own benefit, or benefit of those that can barely hold a pencil in their tiny hands and color inside the lines. But in all honesty, even I mess up by going outside the lines all the time, so I completely understand those who have the same problem. You're not alone!

This book, and all of my books that will hopefully follow will always have this feature. I am determined to show representation of many different people in the world, be it that they have different race to me, different ethnicity, different gender or genders, or no gender, different sexuality or even"handicaps (such as albinism, prosthetics, down syndrome, vitiligo etc)." Every person can be beutiful no matter what shade their skin is, who they choose to be with in their life or what "defects" they have, that make them special. Don't hurt or disrepspect others, cherish those you love and you're already hundred times more beatiful than you are.

I had instagram for a very brief moment. I'm not really a person to have this sort of social media, or any other. Stresses me out. Also, there were some issues I couldn't solve on Insta, so I deleted my profile. Sorry about that. I just don't feel it's worth the hassle. The first print of my books still has the ig profile name on the title page, but it's no longer functional. I have some content other than my books I'd like to share with you, but I have to find the perfect way to deliver to you! Stay patient please!

UPDATE: So, the instagram profile is up again. Not much to see there though. I will continue being active here, and not there, as per usual. Just thought that since the insta page is on the book cover, people can discover this page going from there. Still figuring out how to share more with you on this website. Working on it! 

If you knew me, you would know that question is kind of silly. I'm like ten books with all sections each ahead! Just find time to make it all happen. Not every day is a book day, not every day is a good day. But those that will be patient will be rewarded! I have so much in store for you, not only the happy, cozy and cute but also the dark, eerie and macabre. Because as I said, not every day is sunshine and rainbows. Maybe some of you would like a change of pace in my books. I don't know when I'll make that happen, but hopefully there's a bright future ahead!

Currently I only sell the book in Czech Republic but if you would be interested in buying the book don't hesitate to write me an email. We can figure something out, I'm sure. However, I would be very happy if you showed interest through the email for me to set up an e-shop next year for all the folks outside Czech Republic who would be interested in reading my book.
